Beneath Polarity: Gifts of Shadow

Beneath Polarity: An Embodied Exploration of Gifts of the Shadow

with Anne Hayden and Sheila Belanger

October 3 to 6, 2019
A Private Retreat Center on South Whidbey Island, WA

Are you dis-heartened and feel dis-empowered by the current collective struggles with polarized conflict? Are you ready to consciously lean into that which disturbs you? These extraordinary times of tumultuous polarities (inner and outer) offer opportunities to explore shadow aspects of ourselves: the hidden, potent and compelling parts of us that our ordinary self denies because they challenge our established known identities. Conscious shadow work benefits you individually and becomes an embodied prayer for the world. We’ll offer potent practical ways to shift patterns of fear and constriction into courageous capacities to explore the gifts of the shadow.

This program is for people with previous experience with soulcraft™ programs (either with Northwest Soulquest or Animas Valley Institute), or equivalent experience, ready to dive compassionately and deeply into the holy darkness of the shadow lands underneath the surface level of polarization. With respect and self-love, we’ll explore shadow through movement, Process Work, soulcraft™ practices, solo time in nature, and difficult personal and collective relationship dynamics.

Process Work “…is awareness based. Its methods allow us to perceive the creative nature of processes, even within apparently very disturbing and complex situations. It is a dynamic orientation and method of working with the challenges of your inner life and outer life events. Its methods are also useful for facilitating organizations and communities dealing with conflict, recovery and social change.”

The Beneath Polarity program counts as a prerequisite for the Seasons of the Soul Immersion Program in 2020.
