Courting the Knowing Field:
Exploring the Mysteries of the Invisible Realms

September 27–30, 2018

with Sheila Belanger and Anne Hayden

Sliding Fee: $450–$695 (includes camping fees and all meals)
Takes place at a private camping meadow on the grounds of the Whidbey Institute on Whidbey Island, Washington

…To be human is to become visible while carrying what is hidden
as a gift to others. To remember the other world in this world
is to live in your true inheritance…

–from the poem “What To Remember When Waking” by David Whyte

You are an integral part of a system that is deeper and broader that just your human identity. The “Knowing Field” is a term for this system that is a matrix of inter-connectedness with all life and is not subject to time, space, nor physical laws. The Courting the Knowing Field  program offers tangible experiential skills and practices for cultivating conscious and reciprocal engagement with the Knowing Field, an unseen presence in all human and other-than-human relationships.

Like our other offerings, this camping program is highly experiential and informed by Process Work and Soulcraft™ practices, modern depth psychology, and immersed in ancient and enduring earth-based ways of knowing, the poetic traditions, and initiatory rites. You’ll explore these core Knowing Field courtship practices:

  • Conversation and relationship with nature and Mystery
  • Movement and somatic exercises
  • Diverse ways of knowing
  • Deep imagery journeys
  • Process Work (from Arny and Amy Mindell)
  • Ceremonial council and the building of community
  • Rhythm, silence and song
  • Tracking the unseen worlds through shamanic consciousness

This introductory program counts as a prerequisite for our year-long programs, Seasons of the Soul and Tending the Knowing Field Group Facilitation Training Program.
